A banda Peyote lança seu novo single 'True Crime', um pop folk com participação especial de Sergio Guizé. A canção fala sobre a violência na cidade do Rio de Janeiro pela perspectiva das mães aflitas que não sabem se seus filhos voltam para casa e sobre o valor da vida dos nossos jovens. Ao mesmo tempo, a música também nos faz refletir sobre o futuro de uma cidade, onde crianças e jovens cheios de talento, têm suas vidas desperdiçadas e banalizadas diariamente no cenário que vivemos. A faixa tem ainda a participação de Glauco Mendes, baterista de bandas como Lagum e Tianastacia, a qual integrou por muitos anos, entre outras.
"True Crime'' será lançada no dia 19 de junho, em todas as plataformas, pela Caravela Records.
Peyote é uma banda feminina, feminista, rock n roll, pop rock, punk, reggae, eclética, disruptiva, ousada, cheia de coragem para ir contra muitas barreiras que as mulheres encontram, para seguir seus sonhos e contagiar seu público para que também se transforme em suas versões mais potentes e felizes! Lançou seu 1º álbum autoral em 2002, mas já com muita personalidade, com canções que falavam de amor e suas descobertas, arranjos ousados e lindas participações (como Milton Guedes na faixa Coleção). Atualmente, apresenta o álbum O que você nasceu pra ser? com faixas como Preciso Voltar Pra Casa e Fé na Vida, com participação de Luis Carlinhos.
Faz diversos shows em locais emblemáticos da cena carioca, já lançaram diversos singles e o álbum 'O Que Você Nasceu Para Ser'. Parceiras de tantas composições, tiveram que desistir da música por várias questões, até decidir viver dela. Foi muita dedicação e trabalho. E mulheres, mães, madrastas que são, querem dar o exemplo de quem nunca desiste para os nossos filhos. É sonhar grande e trabalhar pra isso!
